Before your Stay
Full payment is charged upon confirmation to the provided credit card made for your booking. We ask that the same credit card be presented for verification upon check-in.
Regrettably debit cards are not accepted for online bookings.
Yes. Room rates quoted are inclusive of GST and Penang Local Government Tax.
Yes, a security deposit of RM200 per unit, per night will be required upon check-in. If there are no extra expenses incurred, we shall return the deposit upon check-out.
Yes, deposits can be paid by any major credit cards or by cash. Debit cards and travelers cheques are not accepted.
While we do our best to accommodate, regrettably, no refunds caused by delays or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events outside of our control are given.
We can arrange for transportation at a starting rate of MYR110 nett per car, per way for 2 persons or MYR200 nett for 3-4 persons.
Airport transfers via coupon purchase are also readily available at Penang International Airport.
Yes, parking is complimentary and based on availability. Kindly ensure that the Management is provided with your vehicle registration number in order to avoid any inconvenience.
Parking outside in public parking spots requires local council coupons, which can be purchased from any convenient store.
Check-in time is from 2pm onwards.
Check out time is at 12 noon.
Special requests for early arrivals will be based on availability of rooms
Special requests for late check-outs will be based on availability of rooms.
To cancel your reservation, please notify us a minimum of 8 days prior to your arrival date.
You may notify us of cancellations by email or fax . Your cancellation will only be accepted once validation is received from the hotels management
Please note that there shall be no reimbursements for any no shows, shortened length of stays or early departures after check-in.
Please notify us of any amendments of reservations a minimum of 7 OR 8 days prior to your arrival in writing. Requests are subject to availability of the room type required.
As the hotel has its own resident cats, we strongly recommend that guests do not bring their own pets – they are also strictly not allowed in the rooms due to the potential damage they may cause to our furniture.
All our rooms are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas within the hotel.
During your Stay
Upon arrival, there will be welcome drinks and fruit platter with cold/warm towels. There will also be daily homemade cookies and afternoon Nyonya snack for consumption.
Room amenities include bathroom toiletries, sarong, bathrobes and room sandals. All rooms also include a daily turndown service.
A maximum of (2) guests per room are allowed for all room categories except Tang and Han Suites. For (3 or more) guests, extra beds are available at MYR106 nett per bed, per night, inclusive of breakfast.
The Tang and Han Suites can accommodate a maximum of 3 people. 1 child with the existing bed is permitted. Extra bed charges are MYR110 nett per night, inclusive of breakfast.
Yes. Baby cots and baby chairs are complimentary and based on availability.
Breakfast charges are MYR25 for children below 12 years old.

Cheong Fatt Tze – The Blue Mansion is located in the heart of George Town, where people live and operate local businesses. These activities may bring about sounds common to a “living city”. Activities that are being held at the main road or within their vicinity at any hour will be beyond our control.
Our tours are conducted in English but we also offer tours in Mandarin, Japanese and other languages with prior arrangement. Special tours can also be organized for private groups and organizations. Please submit your queries to: [email protected]. Tours are subject to availability.
In order to respect the privacy of all the Residents at Cheong Fatt Tze – The Blue Mansion, guest rooms and pool area are for the sole use of the Residents. Only the Restaurants and Guided Tours are open to public.
Hotel policy allows a maximum of 2 visitors per unit to visit residents between the hours of 10 am and 10:30pm daily. No access shall be granted to visitors after 10:30pm.
