The Chang Yu Room – (Deluxe Twin, Ground Floor) Room Highlights: Vintage bottles of Chang Yu Winery wine adorn the room, along with a range of other antique and colonial furniture. Established by Cheong Fatt Tze in Shantung in 1892, Chang Yu Winery, today, supplies 25% of all Western wines consumed by the Chinese, making it the country’s most successful Western wine-producing winery. |
Taipu

The Tai’Pu’ Room – (Twin Deluxe, 1st Floor) Room Highlights: Collages of antique labels from Chinese medicine bottles; Period leather suitcases; and timber dressing table. Cheong Fatt Tze hailed from a small Hakka settlement in Eastern Guangdong Province called ‘Tai’Pu’. Coming from a family of farmers and schoolteachers, fame was brought to the town of ‘Tai’Pu’ from the achievements of this illustrious son. Cheong Fatt Tze was buried in Tai’Pu’ upon his death in 1916. |
Lean Hwa

The Lean Hwa Room – (Deluxe Twin, Ground Floor) Room Highlights: Accented by pictures of Lotus flowers on old embroidery, this red-and –black painted room features mahogany and marble Chinese antique chairs, trunks and many other period appointments. The Hokkein word ‘Lean Hwa’ means ‘lotus flower’ – a typical and significant flower for the Chinese. Referred to in songs and poems and frequently used as a subject in Chinese paintings, the lotus flower was thought to be appropriate in an abode so Chinese in its presentation. |
Shantung

The Shantung Room – (Twin Deluxe, 1st Floor) Room Highlights: Elaborate, gold leafed timber filigree carvings, antique Chinese painting and period antiques. After developing a passion for European wines, Cheong Fatt Tze went in search of a suitable climate and soil for the introduction of a vineyard in China. He found it in Shantung Province, where his Chang Yu Winery was eventually established in 1892. Still up and running, it is, today, the most successful winery producing Western wines in China. |

Cancellation Policy
Room Preferences: While every effort shall be made to have your favourite room available, we hope you understand that with only 16 bedrooms, it may not be possible.
Cancellation Policy: Bookings that have been confirmed and subsequently cancelled within 72 hours of check-in will incur a cancellation fee of half a night’s stay.
Bookings that have been cancelled within 48 hours incur ONE night’s stay. Cancellations received within 24 hours of the check-in date or in the event of a ‘No Show’ will be chargeable for the entire length of stay. Please do not hesitate to contact the management for further clarification.
